Cast Your Burdens to God⁣

⁣

+There are times when the burdens of life are so heavy, so difficult, and so onerous that I feel like I might suffocate.⁣

⁣

+The burden is overwhelming. I don’t know if I will survive. All I can do is cry out to God in desperation.⁣

⁣

+This promise in Psalm 55 has been a source of unending strength and encouragement over the years; for problems of all kinds, big and small, I have gone to this passage. How many times have I gone over this verse before the Lord?⁣

⁣

“Cast your burden on the Lord.” Here it is, Lord. You take it. I cannot carry it. It’s too big for me.⁣

⁣

“And he will sustain you.” Yes, Lord, you will hold me up. You alone. Without you, I’m sunk.⁣

⁣

“He will never permit the righteous to be moved.”⁣

⁣

🙏Lord, I have no righteousness of my own. But by your grace, I am righteous in Jesus. By your grace, you have made me righteous and right with you.⁣

⁣

+I am one of your holy people and I want to live for you. This promise is for me, Lord, and what a promise it is. You will hold me tight, you will hold me up, and you will hold me steady.😭🙌⁣

⁣

+Do you have a burden? When burdens come, don’t carry them.⁣

⁣

+Cast them upon the Lord. Let God carry your burdens.⁣

⁣

+This is a promise to memorize. This is a promise to claim. This is a promise to cling to.☝️⁣

🙏God, You are faithful and Your mercy endures forever!⁣

+Let’s stand up to fear and trust in Him.⁣

Trust in God⁣⁣

+Lurking within us is the persistent tendency to trust in other things besides God.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+We all encounter a steady stream of challenges and burdens, and sometimes these problems feel overwhelming.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+God can use any of these things, of course, and He frequently does.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+But in our heart of hearts, where is our trust? Where is our confidence? Is our trust in God to guide us and deliver us, or is our trust in ourselves or other people?⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+Do we feel a deep sense of dependence on the Lord? Do we recognize that God may use some of these resources, but our ultimate trust is in God alone?⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+Do we feel deeply that we need the Lord? God delights in the man or woman who chooses to trust in Him. God loves it.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+God takes us out of our comfort zone to show us new things, to stretch us, to help us grow.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+But He also brings the courage and comfort to go through every situation.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+He won't leave us alone in our trials. He has everything under control. He has us in His hands.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

🙏Jesus, help me recognize Your presence and Your touch in the midst of things that frighten me. In Jesus Name, Amen.🙌☝️🤍⁣⁣

God WILL Fight for you

+God is good and He is faithful. 😊⁣

+He is just and He really hears the prayers of His people.⁣

+There will be times when you feel as if your prayers are falling on deaf ears, or that God might not care for you as much as another.⁣

+I’ve been there and it’s hard. But you can’t give up! ⁣

⁣

+Be encouraged to keep pursuing a just God for those things important to you.⁣

+He certainly hears you. He may not respond exactly how and when you’d like, but He will always respond in the perfect way at the right time. ☝️⁣

🙏Father, I don't know how all this turns out. You do. So teach me to simply be in Your presence.⁣

+Come close and make me aware of Your guiding hand. Open the eyes of my heart to what you would have me see.⁣

+God can handle every single one of our needs.⁣

+We’ve got to find stillness. And we’ve got to start allowing God to be God and to stop trying to live our lives on our own. ⁣

+Challenge: Think about all of the things you’re stressed about right now.⁣

+How many of them are related to what you’re trying to do in your own strength?⁣

+Pray that God would help you surrender your stress. Pray that He would help you be still and know that He is God. Spend time listening to Him in silence today.☝️⁣

🙏God, I am so grateful I can look to You in times of trouble. Thank You for being my constant help during challenging times.⁣

+Can you think of a time when God brought peace in a moment of fear?⁣

+Therefore, if God knows everything, He isn't just waiting for things to happen to see how He will respond, because He already knows, and He already has an answer.⁣

+No matter the change we face, stress usually travels with it hand in hand. And as humans, we handle stress by looking for a way to cope.⁣

+We need to figure out what it means to walk with our Lord through the haze of change.⁣

+To practice knowing and embracing His presence as we navigate difficult situations.⁣

⁣

+We do this by staying close to Him. This looks like a morning of prayer and surrender.⁣

+It looks like scouring His word for the truth. Inviting others to witness our struggles - especially the heartbreaking ones.⁣

+Wandering in nature. Being silent. Sitting with a counselor and opening ourselves to another's wisdom.⁣

+When we seek to keep in step with the Spirit in the midst of change, we're choosing to trust in our Lord and Savior.⁣

+That He knows what's best for us. That He has a plan. And that we can trust Him.⁣

⁣

+God's presence is not the passageway to our destination. He is the destination.⁣

+Courage doesn't mean you're not afraid; it means you battle against your fear and confront it.⁣

+Courage pushes you to resist the impulse to shy away from the things that stir up your innermost anxieties.⁣

+Courage is required and must be a constant. It's tiny pieces of fear all glued together.⁣

+Jesus didn’t call us to live stressed-out lives. He calls us to live in freedom. Jesus came to give us life and life to the full.⁣

+We don’t have to live stressed-out, maxed-out lives. Jesus also tells us in the book of Matthew that if we are weary or burdened, we can come to Him. He will give us rest. ⁣

+So, today, if you’re feeling stressed, know that you’re not alone but that God is waiting and willing to carry that stress for you.⁣

+You don’t have to live in stress. GOD IS IN CONTROL.⁣

🙏God, in every situation and every season, You are good and You are God.⁣

PEACE FROM GOD

+God’s primary concern is changing our hearts more than our circumstances (even if He changes those as well).⁣

+The Lord doesn’t promise an absence of trials in the world, but He does promise us His constant presence; help; and yes, perfect peace! in those trials.⁣

+Jesus speaks to your heart, saying, “‘Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.’” (John 14:27) ⁣

+The Bible also promises, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” (Isaiah 26:3) ⁣

+Your peace is complete when it’s fully dependent on Him. He freely gives it to you even in the midst of chaos.⁣

+In Him, you’re like that mother bird hidden in the rock’s cleft behind the raging waterfall: fully at rest!⁣

Don't be afraid

+God is not impressed by what we say that we will do – he is impressed by what we do when we are put under pressure.⁣

+Progress in life and in ministry happens when you are tried and tested, and you pass the test. ⁣

+It is hard to change. It is difficult to pass the test. But the New Testament tells us that change is possible through Jesus.⁣

🙏God, You are always in control. Even though my life is crazy and full of changes, You are always constant and a firm place for me to stand.⁣

Jesus OVERCOME THE WORLD

+When a crisis happens in our world, it’s easy to question our faith, and it’s hard to replace the panic we face with the peace we’re promised as Jesus-followers.⁣

+You might have questions about how a good God could allow such terrible things to happen in this world. And it’s okay to ask that question. God doesn’t evade our questions; He invites us to Him. ⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣

+The truth is, Jesus never promised any of us a pain-free life. Instead, Jesus promised us that this world will bring trouble.⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣

+It will bring some uncertainty. But we can still have hope because it’s not our final destination. Here’s what Jesus said about that: ⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 NIV⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣

+Did you catch where the peace come from? Jesus is the only place where we can find a peace that doesn’t change regardless of what problems we face.⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣

+And because of what Jesus has done for us, we can be encouraged because we know how the story ends. One day, God will make all wrongs right.⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣

+So when today looks shaky, remember that in Christ, we have an unshakable hope that doesn’t change based on our present circumstances. 😊☝️⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣

🙏God, I come to You today fearful about future. God, I know that You are not surprised by anything that is happening, so I ask You to replace my fear with faith.⁣⁣⁣

+Help me feel Your peace and Your presence in tangible, unexpected ways today so that I can share the hope I have in You with others.⁣⁣⁣
