+When God created Adam, He gave him a job. Genesis 2:15 (NIV) tells us that God put Adam in the Garden of Eden to “work it and take care of it.” So, work has been around since the beginning of time! ⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+No matter what each of our “careers” look like, we have the opportunity to live a life of gratitude for how God has brought us to where we are.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+Here are some ways to be grateful for the work God has given us to do:⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+Change your lens. Even if you’re unhappy in your current job, be thankful for the ability to be employed (or stay at home with your family), and take time to pray for those who are struggling with unemployment.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+You earn something. Regardless of your income level, you can thank God for His provision in your life.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+You can be grateful for what you have, instead of focusing on what you don’t.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+List what you love. Every job comes with things you love. It could be actual health or retirement benefits, or it could be a close friend you’ve made while working there.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+Focusing on the good will strengthen your heart toward gratefulness.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+As we think about our work, we may have jobs that can bring more stress than we’d like.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+It’s also true that some of us may be without work at this time.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+Regardless, we can implement Colossians 3:17 NIV as a guide in our work life, which says, “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+When we adjust our outlook and see the blessing in having a job or a role as a full-time caregiver, our enjoyment of our work life will increase drastically.  ⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+Whether you’re struggling to locate work or content where you are, always keep in mind that you’re working for God first.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+Do every task, assignment, and duty in His name, and thank Him regularly for the ability to do so. ☝️🙌🤍😊⁣⁣

TALK AND LISTEN TO GOD

Talk to God⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+Maybe you pray when things are tough, and you pray a little less when life feels easy and it’s going your way.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+But your relationship with God will flourish when you talk to Him like a friend.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+God doesn’t just want a laundry list of your accomplishments or failures for the day.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+He wants to hear how you’re feeling, what is worrying you, what you’re dreaming about, and any other little thing on your mind.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+The more you open your heart up to Him, the more you will feel His peace and His presence in your life.⁣⁣

Listen to God⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+The LORD will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.⁣⁣

+Prayer is only half of what it means to have a conversation with God.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+If you spend all of your time talking, you miss out on the things God is trying to tell you or show you in return.⁣⁣

+Sometimes caring for your spiritual health is about being still and listening for God.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+He often works in ways that are mysterious, but His ways are not your ways. When God “speaks” to you, it may be subtle, like guiding you toward specific people or nudging you to read a verse in the Bible.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+Listening to God might mean paying attention to the things on the path before you.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+The more time you can spend listening to and paying attention to God’s presence, the easier it will be to notice those little internal nudges from the Holy Spirit that steer you away from a certain choice or prompt you to go talk to a stranger.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+Spend quiet time today just breathing and listening for His voice.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+Holding onto the promises of God and reminding yourself of them is a sweet form of self-care.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+Give yourself the gift of remembering God’s goodness, what His Word says, and how much He loves you.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+Take a few moments today and practice the presence of God.⁣⁣

⁣⁣

+Just enjoy Him, tell Him your heart, listen for His voice. He loves you! 😊💖⁣⁣

God’s Love Endures⁣

⁣

+The truth is that God's goodness doesn't leave when our circumstances change. He's always the same.⁣

⁣

+Not only that but God is truly good all of the time. He can't not be good. It's who He is. He's the definition of good.⁣

⁣

+When something good happens, God is good. And when something bad happens, He is good.⁣

⁣

+As hard as it can be to say that, it's true. Even if and especially when...God is still good.⁣

⁣

+It's much like the sun on a cloudy day. We say we can't see it because it's hidden behind clouds. But it's still there.⁣

⁣

+The same is true for the hurts and disappointments in our lives. They can cloud us from seeing God's goodness, but rest assured, it's always there because it's who He is.⁣

⁣

+It's usually in our disappointments and difficulties when we call into question the goodness of God.⁣

⁣

+But turning from God in the midst of our pain removes the only truly good thing from our sad equation-God.⁣

⁣

+So when we're tempted to doubt and allow our current scenario to dictate what we believe, let's dive into God's Word to remind ourselves of this truth.⁣

🙏 God, You are good! Your love endures forever! Nothing can compare to who You are or what You’ve done!⁣

⁣

+I will praise and thank You because You have saved me, blessed me, and transformed me.⁣

⁣

+I am so grateful that I am Yours and that Your love endures forever. Today and every day, be glorified through my life! In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙌☝️🤍🌻⁣

Never give up hope⁣

‘Don’t lose hope. Don’t ever give up...’ (Jeremiah 51:46, MSG).⁣

+Sometimes the circumstances of our lives can seem very bleak. Everything has gone wrong. Darkness has set in.⁣

⁣

+And yet… God never leaves us without a ray of hope. If it is not all right, then it is not the end.⁣

⁣

+Suffering is a part of living in a fallen world. Like Job, it can happen for reasons we may never know.⁣

⁣

+But God has a purpose for you that goes beyond the pain you endure.⁣

⁣

+Don't get discouraged by falling for simplistic formulas.⁣

⁣

+If you're going through a dark time, don't lose hope.⁣

⁣

+God can help you to not be consumed by what you face. Keep trusting in His faithful love and provision for you. 😊⁣

⁣

🙏 God, thank You for always being on my side. No matter what I go through, I know I never have to go through it alone because you are with me.⁣

⁣

+Please help me to not give into despair, but instead trust that You are in control. In Jesus' name, Amen. 🙌☝️🤍🌻

We live by faith, not in fear. ⁣⁣

+The fear we often feel isn’t from God. When we start feeling afraid, it’s the perfect time to pray.⁣

⁣

+This doesn’t mean we won’t ever feel fear. In fact, fear can often motivate us to do the right thing, to avoid danger, or to make wise choices. But we can’t allow feelings of fear to overcome our faith in God. ⁣

⁣

+How can we do that when we’re bombarded by notifications about the next big tragedy? ⁣

⁣

Here’s what Jesus said: ⁣

⁣

+“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” John 14:27 NLT⁣

⁣

+Jesus doesn’t say to not be afraid because we’ll always get the outcome we ask for.⁣

⁣

+Instead, He promises peace because we have access to His presence. Jesus says that peace is a gift.⁣

⁣

+That means that Jesus freely offers us peace every moment of every day. Our job is to accept it. To receive it. To continually go to God and ask for His peace in the middle of life’s problems. ⁣

⁣

+So what can Christians do in the face of unknown disasters? We can remember that we live by faith. We don’t live in fear. ☝️⁣

⁣

🙏 God, I find myself so worried about the future. I don’t know what is going to happen, but I know that You are not surprised, and You are working all things together for good.⁣

⁣

+God, help me trust You more fully today. Increase my faith today, Lord. I ask You for Your peace.⁣

⁣

+Thank You for freely giving us peace of mind no matter what happens around us. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙌🤍⁣

Nothing can separate us from God's love

+We may experience pain that feels endless, situations that appear hopeless, or waiting that seems unbearable.⁣

⁣

+We may endure moments when the odds against us are stacked high and wide.⁣

⁣

+We may not experience the healing we long for as we continue trusting Christ.⁣

⁣

+But even then, Jesus invites us to keep reaching for Him, to trust Him and never give up hope, and to believe He is always able, always trustworthy, and always within reach. ☝️⁣

⁣

🙏 Jesus, thank You for reminding us that we're never out of Your reach or w/o hope. You're able to do what no one else can do. 🙌🤍

Have Faith 🌻⁣

+What is faith? Faith is belief in God. That's the simplest way to express it.⁣

⁣

+It means taking God at His Word and trusting in God's character. It's knowing His character and believing who He has revealed Himself to be.⁣

⁣

+Your faith will increase when you have a right view of God and a proper view of the world in which you live, which is not a world of accidents but a world over which God is sovereign. ⁣

⁣

+We tend to feel weak in our faith when we deal with things that make us feel afraid or threatened.⁣

⁣

+We are most doubtful when we find ourselves overwhelmed with life.⁣

⁣

+Nevertheless, if you believe God and trust who He says He is and understand that He is in control, you do have faith. ⁣

⁣

+Do not be a wonder-seeker who is waiting for a feeling or sign. Take Jesus at His Word.⁣

⁣

+The promise He gives is meant for whoever will hear and believe it. If you believe, declare Him as your Savior and be saved according to His Word.⁣

⁣

🙏God, thank You for being my source of strength and security. I know that you will take care of me as I grow closer to You and follow Your Word.⁣

⁣

+Please help me to be rooted deeply in You so when life's storms come, I will stand strong. In Jesus' name, Amen.☝️🙌🤍⁣

+We can pour out our needs to God because He wants to hear what's on our hearts - and He delights to give.⁣

+But being human and finite, we don't always know what's best, so it only makes sense to ask with a humble spirit, in submission to Him.⁣

+We can leave the answer to Him, confident that He's trustworthy and will choose to prepare what's good for us. 😊⁣

⁣

F A I T H

+We have to pay attention to God's faithfulness in our own lives.⁣

⁣

+How often are you afraid of things in your present or future, and forget to remember God's faithfulness in your life?⁣

⁣

+God's faithfulness in your past is a testimony to His faithfulness in your future because He doesn't change.⁣

⁣

+God will remain faithful through every season of your life.⁣

⁣

+He has already proven Himself faithful over and over again.⁣

⁣

+Yet sometimes we still face new situations as if we have no previous experiences to reflect on. ⁣

⁣

+God's faithfulness is based on the truth of His Word.⁣

⁣

+It's the way in which His Word has been demonstrated true and faithful in your life.⁣

⁣

+Whatever you are facing tomorrow, believe that He will remain faithful because that is who He has been in your life. ☝️⁣

⁣

+When you think back on how God never left your side during difficult moments, how He opened doors of opportunity for your life and family, how He provided every cent that was needed – all of that increases your faith.⁣

⁣

+I encourage you to recount and remember all of the wonderful deeds God has already done in your life. 😊⁣

+He is faithful. 🙌🤍⁣

Times of testing⁣

+A faith that has not been tested cannot be trusted. Sooner or later all of us go through times of testing.⁣

⁣

+In these times, the challenge is to stay faithful to God – not to harden our hearts but to keep them soft and tender towards God – to keep on trusting in spite of all the difficulties and challenges to our faith.⁣

⁣

+During these times of testing, every time you feel like doing the wrong thing but choose to do right, you grow in spiritual maturity, wisdom, character and faithfulness.⁣

⁣

+In this life, there will always be trials and testing. It is never going to be without times of turmoil.⁣

⁣

+However, the moment that you believe the gospel, you have the promise of God’s eventual and eternal rest.⁣

🙏 God, thank You for not giving up on me when I feel broken. I will never be able to fully know how much You love me.⁣

Guidance
