HOPE IN GOD 🌸

I say to myself, "The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him." [ Lamentations 3:24 ]

+We live in a world accustomed to instant gratification, and waiting can be difficult. But in the spiritual realm, patience is still rewarded.

+God knows we're inclined to become anxious when answers to our prayers are delayed.

+Scripture encourages us by reminding us to wait on God. We don't have to be consumed or worried because "his compassions never fail".

+Instead, with God's help we can "be still... and wait patiently for him" (Psalm 37:7).

+May we wait on God, trusting in His love and faithfulness even as we wrestle with longings and unanswered prayers.

🙏 Heavenly Father, thank you that in times of trouble and distress I can fix my thoughts on you and trust in your promises.

+Sometimes it can be difficult to wait on You. Please give me the strength to continue hoping in You. In Jesus name, Amen. ☝️🙌🪄🌻🖤

He Started It

“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬ 💌

+Sometimes it feels like we're just wasting time and taking up space, without real purpose. But—it turns out—God is intentional and He makes no mistakes. To top it off…

+God always finishes what He starts. 

+The story isn't over. When Christ returns once and for all, the work of God through His people will finally be complete.

+Until then, let's commit to God's good work inside of us. Let's magnify Him in everything we do. Let's believe that He'll finish what He has begun. 😊

🙏 God, thank You for using an ordinary person like me for Your glory. You chose me before the beginning of time.

Pause to Pray

💌 In every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

+Our prayers can make a difference. They don't have to be long-winded. They can be short and sweet and can be said at any time of the day. Whether we're at work, running errands or on holiday, we can "pray continually" (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

+God loves to hear us pray throughout the day.

+Whether we're enjoying a sunny day or being hit by the literal or figurative storms of life, let's remember to pause and pray throughout the day. 😊

🙏 Heavenly Father, thank You that I can pray to You at any time. In my times of lack and poverty, Lord, help me not to wallow in my need and distress.

+Help me pray more earnestly for others in the same situation as me. Lord, it's in these times that I know the kingdom is near, that the opportunity for You to work a miracle is tangible.

+Lord, help me to really appreciate even the smallest acts of kindness towards me, and that when a miracle comes I would be grateful to receive. In Jesus name, Amen. 🙌☝️🪄🌻💚

A Prayer for Fighting Worry

🙏 God, worrying comes so easily to me. But I want to let go of things outside my control. Teach me to turn my worries into worship. Fill my thoughts with Your peace.

+I give all my anxiety to You! Guide me as I choose to live in the present, and make the most of each moment. In Jesus' name, Amen. 🙌☝️🪄

🙏 God, in my weakness, You are still strong. So today, please remind me that I am never alone.

+Give me the strength to face whatever comes next, and compassion for the people I interact with each day.

FAITH AND DOUBT

+God wants you to bring your doubts, problems and questions to him. You may not always get immediate answers to all your questions.

+While you wait for answers you are called to trust in God, even when you don't fully understand what he is doing.

+Faith involves believing what God has said in spite of the difficulties you face.

+As Joyce Meyer writes, 'We need to allow our difficulties to help us develop "hinds' feet". When we have hinds' feet... We will walk and make progress through our trouble, suffering, responsibility, or whatever is trying to hold us back.' 😊

🙏 Lord, help me trust completely in you as I honestly express my doubts and questions to you, and to rejoice in you even when I do not immediately see an answer. In Jesus name, Amen. 🙌☝️🪄🌻🤍

NEVER GIVE UP HOPE

+Sometimes the circumstances of our lives can seem very bleak. Everything has gone wrong. Darkness has set in.

+And yet… God never leaves us without a ray of hope. If it is not all right, then it is not the end. 😊

🙏 God, thank You for staying close to me in my toughest moments. When I feel like I'm going to be overwhelmed, I can always find my safe place in You.

+Please hold me tight today, and lead me wherever You would want me to go. I trust You. In Jesus'name, Amen. 🙌☝️🌻🪄🤍

🙏 God, thank You for rescuing me from obstacles I could never overcome on my own. And thank You for loving me in the mighty way You do.

+Please help me to be humble, and not be afraid to ask You for help when I need it. I know every time I pray, You hear and answer me. In Jesus'name, Amen. 🙌☝️🌻🪄🤍

Prayer

🙏 God, I am grateful for all the plans You have made for my life. Because You are in control, I can place my hope in You even when I face trouble.

+Going forward, please help me to have honest conversations with You when my future feels unclear. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙌☝️🪄🌻🤍

Enduring Setbacks

"But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble." (Psalm 59:16 NIV)

+God can—and will—be faithful with your life. 

+When you place your hope in Jesus, you never grieve in vain because the God who is now is also the God who will be forever.

+And He is constantly advocating and acting on your behalf.

+That's why, no matter what you face, you can hold onto this hope: Jesus can turn your setbacks and sorrows into setups for your good and His glory. 

+God can take your pain and use it for His purposes. He can make a way through your desert seasons.

+He is your source of strength and your refuge in times of trouble. Nothing is impossible for God.

+So today, continue to draw closer to Him, and look for evidence of His faithfulness. 😊

🙏 God, You are mighty and worthy of all my praise! When I feel overwhelmed, You want to support me.

+When I feel discouraged, You want to encourage me. When I feel hopeless and alone, You surround and protect me.

+I will praise You because You are my source of strength.

Prayer for Monday

🙏 God, here I am. I need You. I want You. I am weary, and I need Your rest. I know that You are good, but right now, what I'm experiencing isn't good.

+Please help me. Grieve with me, and remind me that You are near. Even though what I'm experiencing isn't good—please redeem every part of my life for my good and Your glory. In Jesus' name, Amen. 🙌☝️🪄🌻🤍

He Changes Us

+When we suffer through fiery ordeals that hurt us deeply, most of us just want to "get over it." But in order for us to truly be over it, we must go through it.

+We must push through the pain, addressing whatever is breaking our hearts in order to see healing on the other side.

+As we go through the storms in our lives, we will be stronger for it. And in the waiting, we'll learn how to trust God more and grow in our faith. 😊

🙏 God, thank You for listening every time I speak to You. I need more of You today.

+Please help me to put everything else aside - my hobbies, my worries, my doubts - and make space for You.
